Aosta Italy

Aosta is the main city of the Aosta Valley, a bilingual region in the Italian Alps, located to the north-northwest of Turin. It is positioned near the Italian entrance of the Mont Blanc Tunnel, at the meeting point of the Buthier and Dora Baltea rivers, and at the intersection of the Great and Little St. Bernard routes. Aosta is not the capital of a province, as the Aosta Valley is the only Italian region that is not divided into provinces. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Roman ruins. These range from walls to amphitheaters. • Mont Blanc. This is the highest mountain in the Alps.
