Riohacha Colombia

Riohacha is a city in northern Colombia, where the Ranchería River joins the Caribbean Sea. It is known for its native Wayúu people and for the colorful birds of the Sanctuary of Flamingos to the southwest of the city. In the Plaza Padilla, is the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Remedies, the nineteenth century. The beach shaded by palm trees has a long pier. To the northeast are the windy beaches of Mayapo and the salt lakes of Manaure, bright white.
