Krimml Austria

To ensure that tourists can see more of the waterfall without difficulty, Ignaz von Kürsinger from the town of Mittersill created a path to the top of the waterfall. In 1879, the Alpine Austrian Club improved the road to offer a more panoramic view. The cataracts are visited annually by about 400,000 people. There is a negative impact on local residents, due to the high level of traffic in a small town, and also to the wear and tear of the road.
