Meet at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal, Turkish Airlines Counter, 3 hours before flight. After ticketing, baggage, and passport procedures, depart for Tokyo at 15:25 on Turkish Airlines flight TK0050.

Arrival in Tokyo at 08:45. After arrival and baggage claim, transfer from the airport to the city center.

Our first stop is Asakusa/Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest Shinto temple (645), famous for its massive lanterns that embody Tokyo's atmosphere. Passing through the imposing Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), you can shop for souvenirs for your loved ones or try local street delicacies on the authentic Nakamise street, Japan's first open-air shopping avenue with over 70 stores.

Next, we continue to Ginza, Japan's luxury shopping district and perhaps the world's most famous street. Until 1800, Ginza was Japan's silver mint, and after the Great Kanto Earthquake, it was transformed into a luxury shopping district; its name comes from the kanji for "silver (gin) guild (za)".

At the end of our tour, we will walk across Shibuya with thousands of people at the world's most famous pedestrian crossing, where the Hachiko statue is also located. After the tour, transfer to our hotel.

After breakfast at our hotel, we continue to get to know the country with the Kamakura region, Tokyo's oldest historic city. Kamakura is the region where the shogunate system was first established.

We start our visit with Kotoku Temple, a Buddhist temple of the Jōdo-shū sect. The temple is famous for the Great Buddha of Kamakura, one of Japan's most iconic symbols. We then tour Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, one of the most important Shinto shrines in Japan, and Komachi-dori Street, experiencing the city's ethnic texture.

Next, we go to Yokohama, Japan's third largest city with a population of 3.7 million. Here, we visit Yokohama China Town, Japan's largest Chinatown with a 160-year history. Afterwards, we visit the famous Cup Noodle Museum.

At the end of our tour, we will have free time in the Minato Mirai area, one of the city's most central places. Then, transfer to our hotel.

After breakfast, we depart for our Hakone & Mount Fuji tour. At 3776 meters high, Mount Fuji was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013 and is Japan's highest mountain, known for its elegant conical form. It is a sacred symbol of the country, and there are temples and shrines around and on the volcano.

Our first stop is Oshino Hakkai village, famous for its mountain views and considered the most beautiful village in Japan. We drink water from Mt. Fuji and try local delicacies. In the village, where you can try unique local items and flavors unavailable elsewhere, we recommend tasting Japanese mochi mugwort rice cake in its warmest and finest form.

Here, together with our guests, we enjoy a boat tour on Lake Ashi to take in the magnificent scenery. Then, we take the cable car to the top and see Owakudani Valley, which means Great Boiling Valley. Afterwards, transfer to our Tokyo hotel.

After breakfast, we set off by Shinkansen high-speed train to the capital, Osaka. Upon arrival, we start our city tour with our vehicle waiting for us.

We begin our Osaka tour, seen as Japan's gourmet food capital and its third largest city. Osaka simply means Big Hill or Big Slope.

On our city tour in Osaka, we first visit Osaka Castle, built in the 16th century and one of the finest examples of Japanese architecture. The castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who united Japan under a single rule in the 16th century, and it is known that around 100,000 workers participated in its construction.

After Osaka Castle, we visit Dotonbori, Osaka's popular dining district. Here, we experience Dotonbori's vibrant atmosphere with its iconic neon signs, street food, and shopping venues. After some free time in the city, we transfer to our hotel.

After breakfast at our hotel, we start a full-day Kyoto tour.

First, we visit Kinkakuji Temple, a Zen temple whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf and whose pond garden design is considered the pinnacle of its kind, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, we visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, which was featured in the filming of the movie Memoirs of a Geisha. The shrine, dedicated to the rice god Inari, features over a thousand Torii gates. On the path lined with Torii gates and fox statues, believed to be the messengers of Inari, you will witness Japan's ancient roots.

After our tour in the historic district of Kyoto and the geisha-famous Gion area, we visit the Bamboo Grove. After the tour, we return to our Osaka hotel.

After breakfast, we continue our tour with the ancient city of Nara. Nara is Japan's first historical capital (710) and is home to the country's largest and oldest temples.

First, we visit Todaiji Temple, the largest wooden structure in the world, which also houses one of Japan's largest bronze Buddha statues (Daibutsu). Next, we visit the deer who are considered the messengers of the gods and await us in sacred Nara Park. You will have a great time with the deer that do not shy away from people and can even be fed with crackers sold in the area.

We then begin our Kobe city tour. Kobe, one of Japan's 10 largest cities, is famous for its beef as well as being a port city and is the city where the most Sake is produced in Japan.

Our first stop is Kobe Mosaic, a shopping and entertainment center. After shopping and tasting local delicacies here, we visit the Kobe Earthquake Memorial Museum. The museum features a documentary depicting the destructive power of the earthquake with realistic visuals, an exhibit about the recovery process, as well as a wealth of information about earthquakes and various interactive games about disaster prevention. At the end of our tour, transfer to our hotel.

The services and expenses specified below are not included in the tour package and must be covered by the participants separately.

  • Mandatory Local Service Fee (220 EUR per person): Osaka Castle entrance fee, Todaiji Temple entrance fee, Kinkakuji Temple entrance fee, Fushimi Inari Shrine entrance fee, Ashi Lake boat tour, Cup Noodles Museum entrance fee, Shinkansen high-speed train fee, tourist city taxes, and local guiding fees are included here and must be paid separately to the tour official during travel.
  • Museum and Site Entrance Fees: Entrance fees to sites visited in the program (including those not covered by the 220 EUR mandatory fee above) are not included in the package.
  • City Taxes: Additional city taxes that may apply during accommodation in Japan are not included in the package.
  • Lunches and Dinners: Breakfasts are provided at the hotel; all lunches and dinners are not included in the package. Meals will be taken as extra by participants during free time at places determined by the guide.

  • Driver and Guide Tips: Driver and guide tips set at 30 EUR per person are not included in the package and are expected to be paid separately by the participants.
  • International Departure Fee: The international departure fee, which must be paid when departing from Turkey, is not included in the package.
  • Overseas Travel Health Insurance: Travel health insurance valid during the trip to Japan is not included in the package and must be obtained by the participants themselves.
  • Trips and Tours Not Specified in the Program: All additional trips and tours not explicitly included in the tour program are not included in the package.

Participants are considered to have accepted in advance that they will attend the tours specified in the program without disrupting the schedule, and for expenses related to local guide, museum and site entrances, city taxes, and, where applicable, audio guide systems, agree to pay 220 EUR per person separately to the tour official during the trip.

Remarks

The following information must be read and accepted before joining the tour.

Cancellation and Refund Conditions:

Participants who sign up for the tour have the right to cancel free of charge up to 45 days before the tour date. If there are fewer than 45 days left before the tour, a 30% cancellation fee applies; if 20 days or less, a 100% cancellation fee applies. Documents such as hospital reports or work permits obtained from Turkish authorities are unfortunately not accepted for the cancellation of accommodation and services outside Turkey.

Tour Capacity and Cancellation:

The tour program is organized with a minimum of 25 participants. The last cancellation notification date in case of insufficient participation is 20 days before the tour departure. If the tour is canceled due to insufficient participation, Viyatravel will notify the participants.

Payment and Currency:

Having USD is sufficient for shopping and expenditures during the tour. In regions using the local currency, the guide will assist with currency exchange.

Hotel Notification:

Hotels stated only by category and/or offered as options for the same destination in the tour program without specifying names will be communicated by Viyatravel 2 days before the tour. During periods of fairs, congresses, concerts, events, or sports tournaments, hotels may be used further away than specified; in such cases, information will be provided 15 days before the tour.

Triple Rooms:

Triple room sales are not available for Japan tours. Also, no child discounts are available.

Clothing and Comfort Recommendations:

It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers during the trip. It is advised to bring a cardigan or similar clothing considering the chilly nights.

Seat Arrangement:

Rotation (seat change) is practiced in daily seat planning on our tours. Fixed seat and front seat guarantees are not provided; seat changes are organized by the vehicle guide.

Entry to Turkey and Customs Rules:

To bring goods from abroad into Turkey, a minimum of 3 days stay abroad is required. Freeshop shopping limits are as follows:

  • Cigarettes: 3 cartons
  • Alcoholic beverages (over 22% alcohol): 1 liter
  • Alcoholic beverages (under 22% alcohol, including wine and champagne): 2 liters
  • Perfume: 600 ml
  • Makeup or skin care products: 5 items

Program Flow and Changes:

Guides may make changes to the program flow depending on weather and road conditions, provided all locations specified in the program are visited. Panoramic tours cannot be conducted if local authorities do not permit visits, if roads are closed, or if weather conditions make it impossible; in such cases, Viyatravel is not responsible.

Flight and Check-in Procedures:

For participants on flight tours, check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities and must be performed by the guest at the airport counters or online via airline websites prior to the flight. Viyatravel is not responsible if guests do not arrive at the airport at the specified times or miss their flights. Those who miss the flight are responsible for the costs of any new round-trip flight tickets and transfers required to join the tour.

Scheduled Flight Delay Risk:

There is a risk of delays or changes in flight times for scheduled and private flights. Viyatravel is obliged to inform participants of such changes as soon as possible. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport taxes or service charges.

Types of Vehicles Used:

The types of vehicles used on tours are determined according to the number of participants:

  • Buses: Used for 25 – 46 participants.
  • Midibuses: Used for 17 – 24 participants.
  • Minibuses: Used for up to 16 participants.

All participants are considered to have accepted the above conditions upon completing the sale of the tour.
